Classical Flash 2020 Letter

silverink Dear Classical Flash Creator,
Hello and thank you for your interest in my letter! Here you will find my general likes and DNW's, as well as some potential prompts for the fandoms I've chosen. Don't feel like you have to stick to the prompts, though—I'll be happy to read any other ideas you have! If you want to create a treat, I would welcome either art or fic (I think the main exchange is writing only, though).
Likes:
- I love pretty much all genres: fluff, hurt/comfort, angst, character exploration pieces, more plot focused pieces, darkfic...
- Happy or hopeful endings are preferable.
- Characters having quiet, soft moments - heart-to-heart talks, hand holding, touching foreheads together, cuddling... !!
- Characters being vulnerable with each other.
- (Historically accurate) supernatural occurrences or ghost stories.
- Smut is always great but not obligatory! I'd love to read everything from cuddly sweet vanilla sex, rough sex, consensual BDSM/kink, all the way to dub-con and non-con! I definitely have preferences for certain pairings, though.
- Kink related: if you choose to write kink, I'd like bondage, orgasm denial, light humiliation, spanking.
- Characters pining for each other and eventually confessing their love.
- Established relationships and domesticity.
- Devotion/Loyalty kink!!
- Firsts: first kisses, first dates, first times having sex (either with a certain partner or losing virginity), etc.
Do Not Wants:
- Major character death
- Trans/gender/identity headcanons
- Miscarriages or sexual assault as dramatic backstory
- A/B/O dynamics
- Kink/smut related: scat, watersports, mpreg, underage (nothing explicit under 18, but since this is a historical exchange I'm fine with mentions of younger people having sex. Nothing under 16 though.)
Pompeii Graffiti RPF
I saw someone else link this article from Boredpanda with examples of Pompeiian graffiti. Not the most scholarly source, but it has a bunch of good examples! For this fandom in general, I'd enjoy maybe seeing the moment of the graffiti-writing in the story, but of course that's totally optional!
April 19th Baker:
"On April 19th, I made bread." This graffiti was found on the wall of a gladiator barracks. Maybe this was a gladiator who was learning to make bread, and he was super excited when he finally got it right! Or maybe he made it for some special occasion!
Author of "Lovers are like bees in that they live a honeyed life" / Their lover:
"Lovers are like bees in that they live a honeyed life." I feel like the author of this is probably a poet and/or a farmer who loves bees. I'd enjoy something with a bucolic farm setting - maybe the author and the lover run a farm together? I would also love the author sharing their poetry with their lover and being sappy and romantic (in any setting, doesn't have to be a farm), and the lover enjoying it and being supportive. Honestly I just want lots of fluff for this pairing XD I don't care what gender the author or the lover are; you can choose!
Girlfriend being compared to Venus / Her lover:
"If anyone does not believe in Venus, they should gaze at my girlfriend." Again, I'd love all the fluff for this pairing! Maybe there's some pining going on, and when they finally get together they're both absolute saps. Or, maybe they've been together a while at this point but are still absolute saps!! Again, I don't care what gender the author is.
Frontier Wolf
I chose all three of the available relationships for Frontier Wolf (Alexios/Hilarion, Alexios/Cunorix, Alexios/Lucius) mostly because I just want my boy Alexios to have a good time and be treated right :') I'd especially like loyalty kink for this one, as well as quiet, sweet moments, firsts, and confessions of love. Maybe something about Alexios bringing Lucius or Hilarion to his family's farm post canon? (Also, if you pair him with Cunorix or Lucius I would greatly prefer an AU where they live!!!) Or maybe in an AU where Lucius lives, he and Alexios recover in hospital together and realize their feelings?! Honestly, I'd love any ideas you have about any or these parings!

Female sailor / Mermaid:
For this I'd love to maybe see the mermaid saving the sailor from a shipwreck, and then the relationship develops from there. Maybe the mermaid continues to help the sailor in the future, and they end up helping each other and fall in love? Or maybe the sailor gets stranded on an island and the mermaid helps her/helps her escape!
Calligrapher / Poetess:
For this one, maybe the calligrapher has read the poetess's poetry and loves it so much that she wants to write it out in calligraphy and make it look really beautiful. Maybe they bond over their shared love of art! Maybe they have a bit of a rocky first impression of each other as people (bickering & UST!!!), but gradually come to be friends and lovers as they continue working together.
Amazon / Spartan:
I'd love some kind of enemies to lovers story for this!! Maybe they meet as enemies in a battle, and/or maybe the Amazon captures the Spartan woman when she attacks her town. (I'd love possible dub-con or non-con for this? Any kind of sex or no sex is great tho!! )
Ancient Greek Religion & Lore
Artemis / Priestess of Artemis:
I'd love either an established relationship, or maybe the priestess being very new to the priesthood and meeting/falling in love with Artemis. (I'd love the power dynamics in this. Soft, quiet moments and loyalty are also amazing.)
Aphrodite / Original female character:
I’d love to see Aphrodite maybe falling in love with a mortal woman and pining for her, but maybe instead of causing the woman to fall in love with her, Aphrodite waits for the woman to fall in love naturally. Would love seduction and soft romance <3
