Yuletide 2020 Letter

Dear Yuletide Creator,

Hello and happy Yuletide! Thank you for your interest in my letter and for offering to write something for one of my rare fandom faves; hopefully something here inspires you!! This letter includes my general likes and do not wants of fic, and some more specific prompts for my fandoms. Please keep in mind that the prompts are only suggestions, and if you have a different idea (within my DNWs) or want to put a different spin on one of my prompts, I'll happily read whatever you come up with!

I'm also participating in a few of the mini challenges: Season's Treatings and Tide of History.

Likes:

- I love pretty much all genres: fluff, hurt/comfort, angst, character exploration pieces, more plot focused stories...

- Happy or hopeful endings are preferable, but if it doesn't fit the theme of the story, sad/bittersweet endings are good too.

- Characters having quiet, soft moments — heart-to-heart talks, hand holding, touching foreheads together, cuddling... !!

- Characters being vulnerable with each other.

- Supernatural occurrences or ghost stories.

- Smut is always great but not obligatory! I'd love to read everything from cuddly sweet vanilla sex, rough sex, consensual BDSM/kink, all the way to dub-con and non-con. I definitely have preferences for certain pairings, though.

- Kink related: if you choose to write kink, I'd love things like bondage, orgasm denial, light humiliation, spanking.

- Characters pining for each other and eventually confessing their love.

- Established relationships and domesticity.

- Devotion/Loyalty kink!!

- Firsts: first kisses, first dates, first times having sex (either with a certain partner or losing virginity), etc.
- Canon divergent AUs/Everyone lives AUs/Supernatural AUs
- Many of my fandoms have historical settings/themes, so I'd love if you wanted to include historical details in your story. Those are completely optional though, and don't feel any pressure to do this; I'm mainly here for the characters and their stories, historical detail is just a bonus!
- Also, as much as I love my ships, I also just love their relationships in general, either romantic or platonic. If you get more platonic vibes from a ship, please feel free to write that instead because I'll happily read that too! :D

DNWs:
- (Non-canonical or unrequested) Major character death.

- Unrequested trans/gender/identity headcanons.

- Miscarriages or sexual assault as dramatic backstory.
- Current events, modern world politics

- A/B/O dynamics.

- Kink/smut related: scat, watersports, mpreg, underage (nothing explicit under 18, though I’m fine with mentions of younger characters. Nothing under 16 though.)

Frontier Wolf:
My requested character for FW is Alexios — he's one of my favorite Sutcliff protagonists, so I really just want to see him happy! Since this is a winter holiday themed exchanged, I'd be interested to see a Midwinter setting. Maybe you could explore Midwinter celebrations post-canon with the Attacotti in Belgica? Or Midwinter at the Aquila family farm (either post-canon or when Alexios was young)? I'd love just about any kind of holiday fluff—snow, hot drinks, presents (appropriate or inappropriate), quiet romantic moments... !

As for relationships, I'd love platonic friendships between Alexios and any other characters, or team relationships. For romance, I mainly ship Alexios/Hilarion and Alexios/Lucius, though I also like Alexios/Cunorix, so I'd adore anything with those pairings! You could add the relationship into any of the prompts I mentioned above, or you could do an AU where Cunorix or Lucius lives somehow and he and Alexios can still be together, or something about Hilarion and Alexios falling in love in Belgica. (This canon would also be perfect for an everyone lives AU if you're so inclined!) I'd also love something about Alexios taking Hilarion or Lucius to visit the Aquila farm in the Downs! I don't really have specific prompts for that idea, I just love the idea of Alexios showing off the farm and enjoying the bucolic domesticity of it with Hilarion/Lucius! And also introducing Hilarion/Lucius to his mom? :')

Ted Lasso:
This is a fun, sweet show about an American football coach who starts coaching football/soccer in the UK, which you can find on Apple TV if you're interested. Once again as with the previous fandom, I really just want everyone to be happy! I requested Roy Kent, Keeley Jones, Ted Lasso, and Rebecca Welton, though you don't have to include all four of them in your story. I'd enjoy team relationships with all the characters (including unrequested and un-nominated characters), platonic relationships between any of the requested characters, and romantic relationships between Roy/Keeley or Ted/Rebecca.

I'd love to see team practices or games (I don't know much about soccer though, so don't worry if things aren't that accurate), or stuff going on outside of practice—maybe the team hangs out after practice or games, maybe with their significant others there too? There was an episode about ghosts haunting the practice area—maybe that could be explored more? What did the ghosts do? Did the ceremony to release the ghosts work? You could go as silly or serious as you like with this! I'd also love something about the biscuits Ted brings Rebecca everyday, and maybe him having her over so he can cook for her—also, similarly, Roy cooking for Keeley! Maybe Roy gradually letting her see the softer side of him? I just love Roy and Keeley so much, I'd read just about anything about them tbh!!!

Also, because this is a winter holiday themed exchange, I'd love to read romantic, rom-com style Christmas fluff, especially for Roy and Keeley! Maybe Roy is secretly Really into Christmas and Keeley's pleasantly surprised, and they go all out on decorations and baking and ugly sweaters. Maybe there's a team Christmas party and Secret Santa! (That Ted gets way too into!) Give me pretty much anything related to Christmas/Christmas Eve/New Years/winter—I'd love snow, hot chocolate, presents (appropriate or inappropriate), mistletoe, colorful lights, quiet romantic moments, champagne and midnight kisses on New Years, etc!

(Please keep in mind my DNW of current events and politics for this one, even though it is set in 2020/2019!)

The Mummy Series (minus the third movie):
This is one of my favorite movies ever, and I really love all the characters in it. My top favorites are Evie, Rick, and Ardeth (the mysterious Egyptian man who always wears black robes), and so I'd like my story to focus mainly on at least one of them, though other characters in the background would be wonderful! I love the ancient Egyptian themes in this movie, and if you feel so inclined I'd also love to see those in your story: you could include ancient curses and gods, discovery of tombs or artifacts, or even something about Evie's past life as an Egyptian princess (either mentioning it in the larger story or using it as the setting for the whole story). Again, that's totally optional if you don't feel up for writing something like that.

For relationships, my main romantic ship is Evie/Rick/Ardeth, but I also enjoy Evie/Rick. You can write about their relationships developing during canon events or post canon (of The Mummy or The Mummy Returns): maybe the three of them live in the mansion they have in TMR together and continue to have adventures, or maybe you could write about them having shared past lives in ancient Egypt.

Because this is a winter holiday exchange, I'd also love a Christmas or New Years themed story! Just give me pretty much anything related to Christmas/Christmas Eve/New Years/winter—snow, hot chocolate, presents (appropriate or inappropriate), quiet romantic moments, colorful lights, mistletoe, champagne and midnight kisses on New Years, etc!
