Dear Sutcliff Swap Creator
Dear Sucliff Swap creator,
Hello & thank you so much for creating something for me! I would love either art, vid, or fic as a gift <3 Sadly, the only Sutcliff books I've read are Eagle of the Ninth, Silver Branch, and Outcast, and I'm not super picky about specifics tbh. I just had a few notes I wanted to give & this seemed like the best way to do that!
My general likes:
*AUs! Any kind of AU that would still stay in the realm of canon, like fantasy & supernatural, I would love.
*Missing scenes from canon, or scenes from the POV of a different character.
*Ancient Roman or British holidays, especially with some kind of supernatural influence like ghosts, spirits, or gods. I love all things supernatural, so I'd adore that theme with or without the context of a holiday!
*Fluff!! Romantic or platonic fluff & quiet moments are always wonderful.
*Emotional or physical hurt/comfort! Can also include fluff :D
*Smut is always great, but not required.
*Kink related: orgasm delay/denial, bondage, spanking
General dislikes:
*Non-con
*Gratuitous violence (the level of violence in canon is good though)
*Sex/romance with underage characters (ie, under 18 as per United States age of consent)
*Unhappy endings
*Prominent themes of pregnancy or A/B/O
*For kink: scat, watersports, deepthroating (that the person doesn't like/is choking them)
Eagle of the Ninth:
*Pairings: primarily Marcus Aquila/Esca & Marcus/Cradoc, but I'm also interested in the idea of Marcus/Cassius (doesn't have to be just those pairings if you have other ideas though!) Any pairings for friendship!
*Characters: I love pretty much all the characters in this book, but I'd love for my gift to include Marcus, Esca, Cottia, or Cub, or really any minor characters like Guern, Cradoc, or Guinhumara!
*Any rating is fine, and smut is appreciated though definitely not required!
*I'd love themes of healing or crossing cultural boundaries for this fandom! Maybe with some shenanigans across the wall, or Marcus as Demerius of Alexandria? I'd also love Marcus, Esca, & Cottia living on their farm post canon! I also love anything with h/c of Esca taking care of Marcus when his leg is bad.
Silver Branch:
*Pairings: I think I'd prefer more friendship fic for this one, but I like the romantic pairing Justin/Anthonius quite a bit... also Volumnia/Aunt Honoria could be a good pairing! Also any friendship is good.
*Characters: again I love all the characters, but I'd especially love to see Anthonius, Justin, Flavius, Cullen, Volumnia, or Aunt Honoria!
*Again, any rating is fine & smut is good if you fit it in, but definitely not a requirement.
*Would love to see some kind of mission fic for this maybe?? I want to see the characters being badass secret agents sneaking around and narrowly avoiding danger! I'm not sure what kind of mission this would be, but I leave that up to the creator! Also something with Justin using his skills as a surgeon on a mission or after the battle at the end of the book would be amazing.
Outcast:
*Pairings: Beric/Jason (though others would be good) Any friendship is also good!
*Characters: I'd love to see Beric, Jason, Justinius, Rhiada, Gelert the dog, or maybe the daughter of Beric's first master who wanted to take him with her when she got married (I don't remember her name rip) EDIT: her name is Lucilla!!!
*Would prefer teen & lower ratings for this one.
*I'd love angst & hurt/comfort for this one!! Definitely needs a happy ending though! I'd also love something exploring Lucilla & Beric's relationship, & maybe what would've happened if he'd gone with her when she got married.
