Wednesday Reading Meme

 I haven't done a lot of reading this week, sadly, but I've been doing quite a bit of writing. I've been working on fic and an original story that I initially started ages ago, but recently picked up again! I think I've talked about it a little bit on here before, but it's a story inspired by the Laudatio Turiae! It's so exciting to plan/write, and I kinda want to post about it more, but I'm also thinking it would be cool to try to get it published somewhere eventually, so idk if I should post much about it then??

I'm planning to do a lot more reading on The Odyssey, because I'm going to be starting school again soon and probably won't have as much time to read. Maybe I'll post about my readings for school, too!

I think you're all right to talk about your original work here. I've seen plenty of aspiring and published writers blog about their current projects over the years, and post snippets. In fact, there seem to be quite a lot of books published these days that were originally posted in full online - not just fanfic that later had the serial numbers filed off, but actual original fic - so I'm pretty sure you're okay to talk about what you're working on!

I know I'd like to hear more about your Laudatio Turiae story. I need to get back into my own research for mine, but it's always nice to talk to other folks who are writing in the same sort of area. :)

Oh, that's good to know! I was worried it would somehow affect the chances of getting it published for some reason, but now that I think about it I've seen a few published authors post stuff about their projects on here, too.

I'd love to post more about it though, and I have several ideas I want to kinda talk through. And I'd love to hear about yours too!! Maybe that'll give us both inspiration to keep writing and researching :D
